Hill of the O'Neill and Ranfurly House

Sitting in a prized spot in the heart of Dungannon town, County Tyrone, the Hill of the O'Neill is a rampart that dates back centuries. APerfect for uncovering more local history, Ranfurly House sits next to the Hill and is home to a permanent exhibition on the Flight of The Earls and the Plantation of Ulster. Step inside here and you’ll be into a world of the 16th-century Irish chieftain with all the battles, feasts and fashions that typified life back then. The house also details the Plantation of Ulster and how Ulster forged a path different to the ancient Gaelic laws and beliefs of the rest of the island.
